Born in 1973, Tom Winter is a Dorset based artist specialising in oils. Upon completion of a two year BTEC in General Art and Design at the Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design he went on to study Fine Art at The Slade School, London. After four years he emerged with a 2:1 BA(hons) and the Sunday Times/Singer Friedlander Watercolour Student Prize.
Over the years, he has successfully carved a name for himself as both a figurative and landscape artist working in oils, watercolour, pen and ink and as a printmaker. Tom also teaches life drawing.
He has recently been chosen to exhibit at the Mall Galleries London with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters 2010 show.
